Commonwealth Heads of Valuation Agencies Conference
The NSW Valuer General, Philip Western, is hosting the Conference in Sydney, Australia from 18-21 March 2012. HISTORY OF CHOVA The Commonwealth Heads of Valuation Agencies was formed to promote exchange of knowledge and ideas amongst nations on the use, ownership, development and subsequent valuation of land. It gives leadership in governance, methodology and the highest standard of delivery of all practices associated with valuation. The Commonwealth Heads of Valuation Agencies Conference is a government hosted, public sector conference focusing on valuations for government purposes for rating, property tax, resource values, asset values and compensation. The first Conference was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 1977 and since then Canada, Hong Kong, Melbourne, London, Singapore, New Zealand, Vancouver, Jamaica and Northern Ireland have hosted the event. CHOVA 2012 will continue the tradition of sharing information and innovation amongst land professionals in all facets of valuation. It is an excellent opportunity to network with international delegates on every aspect of your profession, participate in a field trip and workshop and to share individual experiences.
